  About Me»Milwaukee Bucks

2005/06 Rookie Year

In 2005 as a rookie I was lucky to be part of a minor playoff run which saw the Bucks play Detroit in the first round. We got knocked out in 5 games, losing 4-1. I was fortunate to make the all rookie team, and got to play in the Rookie vs. Sophomore game in Houston for All Star Weekend that same year. I learned a lot from my rookie year and knew I would have to work much harder to become a consistent player in the best league in the world. The NBA was no joke.

2006/07 - Second Year

My second season saw a individual improvement but it didn’t matter as we still went downhill comparing to the first year. We were not even in playoff contention and the season was looked upon as a waste of a year. The Bucks ended up firing Terry Stott’s, who was my first NBA head coach. He was replaced by assistant coach Larry Krystkowiak. I ended the season on a sour note with an injury to my foot which kept me out of action for the last 16 games.

2007/08 - Third Year

My third year was much of the same, once again my numbers improved, and once again it didn’t matter as we had a bad year, again not being close to being a playoff contender. I definitely started to feel more comfortable with the NBA game but I still knew there was plenty of work ahead.  Coming into my fourth year with Milwaukee, there had been drastic changes. A new General Manager was hired, with a new Head Coach along with assistant coaches. It seemed like even the janitor was replaced, in what was a major change in the organization.

 2008/09 Fourth Year

In my fourth year in the NBA, and first under coach Scott Skiles things started out pretty optimistic. We were up and down throughout the first few months of the season, and it took me a while too adjust to a new coach and style of play. Around about Christmas I started to get some pretty serious back pain. I tried to play through it for about a month, and it got worse and worse as time went on. I soon found out with the help of a MRI and CT SCAN that I had a stress fracture in my lower back. I was shut down from Basketball immediately and spent the next 6 months resting, along with trying to get my back strong enough again so that I could be ready for the following season and it's training camp.

2009/10 Fifth Season

This season was by far the best I have had in a Milwaukee Uniform, well besides the gruesome injury I'm sure most of you have seen a million times. We really played good ball, especially after the New Year. We also made some good trades to help us get to the playoffs and push a good Atlanta Hawks team to 7 games. This was my most productive season, I really stepped up defensively and felt very comfortable out there. Offensively I was more and more confident and felt like my game really expanded. It was tough to miss the playoffs after such a great year (both personally and as a team) but these things happen in pro sports. The whole off season was spent rehabbing (yet again), and I was fighting to be ready for the following season.
